Getting started
Do I need to create an account?
No. Open the app, create your profile, and get started. You only need to sign in with Google if you want to back up to your own Google Drive.
Does iBalanz connect to my bank?
No, by design. iBalanz is your personal space: it contains only the information you choose to add, and nobody else sees it. You can create shortcuts in iBalanz to open your bank's app quickly.
What is a profile?
An independent financial space with its own data, currency, and settings. You can have a personal profile, a family profile, or one for a project without mixing them together.
Which languages and currencies does it support?
Spanish and English, with 35 available currencies. Each profile uses its own.
Your data
Where is my information stored?
On your phone. iBalanz has no servers collecting your data. If you enable backup, the copy goes into a private folder in your own Google Drive account.
What happens if I change phones?
Enable backup on your current phone. On your new one, install iBalanz, sign in with the same Google account, and restore your backup.
How do I protect the app?
In settings, you can enable fingerprint, face, or PIN lock. That way, someone holding your phone cannot see your numbers.
How do I delete my data?
You can delete individual records or a whole profile in the app, or uninstall it to erase everything stored on your phone. Your Drive copy is deleted from your Google Drive account. We explain it in detail in the privacy policy.
Features
What does “You can spend today” mean?
It divides your monthly balance by the days left before closing: how much you could spend today without affecting what you still need to pay. Try the calculation on the iBalanz page.
Which month does a card purchase appear in?
In the month of its statement closing date, not the purchase date. If your card closes on the 10th, a purchase on August 31 is paid with the September statement, and that is where you will see it.
Can I track installment purchases and loans?
Yes. Each installment appears in its month. For loans, you can record principal payments and see the interest you save.
Is the AI assistant required?
No. It is off by default. If you want it, enable it using your own key from the provider you prefer. The app works the same without it.
Is something not working as expected?
Tell us what happened and which app version you use. If you can, attach a screenshot. A person on the team will reply.
